The presentation of the award took place online on 1 April. Due to precautions taken to prevent the corona virus from spreading, the big event in Munich was cancelled. However, the organisers had taken precautions, so the award ceremony was broadcast online and the whole team was able to participate virtually.
Bavarian companies of all sectors and sizes took part in the state competition, which is organised annually by the research and consulting institute Great Place to Work. The award is based on the assessments of employees who evaluate their employers in terms of trust in management, quality of collaboration, recognition, identification with the company, career development opportunities, compensation, health promotion and work-life balance. Management was also asked about supportive measures and opportunities within the company, but their answers were weighted more lightly than the employees’ assessments.
The award is therefore regarded as an expression of employee evaluation and the award represents a trusting workplace culture with a great deal of team spirit. So, we can rightly call ourselves employee favourites, for which we are grateful and which fills us with pride.
