HR Guide “Future of Work” by Handelsblatt, October 8, 2025, page 3

Freelancers are not the risk, they are the opportunity.

That was Oliver Kremer's key message in the HR Guide “Future of Work” in the October 8, 2025, edition of Handelsblatt. In it, the CEO of K-Recruiting describes a changing world of work: young talents no longer want to be tied to one company for the long term, but rather want to learn, shape, and develop on a project-by-project basis.

“Security is no longer the main argument, flexibility is,” says Kremer. Companies that continue to try to retain employees with yesterday's models will no longer be able to attract Generation Z. His appeal: Project work is becoming the key form of modern division of labor.

Hybrid teams of permanent employees and freelancers are proven to be more productive and innovative. They combine stability with dynamism – and create the agility that modern companies need to remain competitive.

K-Recruiting Life Sciences has been placing highly specialized freelancers with companies in the pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical technology industries for over ten years and is experiencing this change up close every day.

“The future of work is emerging where companies place more trust in temporary freelancers instead of relying exclusively on traditional structures,” says Kremer. This is a clear call to employers to actively shape change and see flexibility as an opportunity.
