Price Optimization and Governance Business Analyst (M/F/D)
Tasks:
Design and deliver a Global Pricing Optimization Playbook applicable across markets.
Define a harmonized structure for:
Price assessment methodologies
Discount & rebate management
Price monitoring and continuous improvement mechanisms
Apply structured pricing concepts including list-to-net, account segmentation, optimization levers, and scenario modeling.
Develop a global pricing governance framework defining:
Roles and responsibilities
Decision workflows
Approval and escalation mechanisms
Establish a unified governance model ensuring cross-market consistency, while allowing flexibility for local regulatory and market conditions.
Strengthen compliance through clearly defined governance thresholds and documentation standards.
Coordinate and execute a pricing optimization pilot in selected European markets.
Use pilot results to:
Refine pricing frameworks and governance workflows
Validate pricing methodologies
Capture key learnings for scalability
Prepare a global rollout plan, including:
Market readiness criteria
Dependencies and sequencing
Training and enablement requirements
Prepare and facilitate workshops with global, regional, and local stakeholders.
Drive collaboration across Pricing, Tender, Commercial Excellence, Finance, and Market Units.
Collect qualitative and quantitative insights to enrich playbook content and governance design.
Act as a trusted advisor to commercial leadership with clear, data-driven recommendations.
Produce high-quality, structured documentation including:
Process maps
Framework blueprints
Governance models
Pricing methodology definitions
Analytical insights on price, discount, and margin structures
Consolidate and analyze pricing and tender data to uncover:
Margin drivers
Price leakage
Governance gaps
Optimization opportunities
Ensure pricing frameworks support sustainability, transparency, and continuous learning.
Embed monitoring mechanisms to track pricing performance over time.
Contribute to strategic pricing initiatives aligned with a holistic price optimization philosophy
Qualification:
Minimum 7–8 years of pricing experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
Strong understanding of:
Pricing strategy
Gross-to-Net (GtN) management
Discount and rebate structures
Pricing analytics and governance models
Proven experience creating pricing frameworks, playbooks, and governance structures in a pharma environment.
High numerical literacy with the ability to interpret:
Financial metrics
Pricing trends
Margin implications
Scenario-based outcomes
Strong capability to deliver clear, structured, executive-ready documentation.
Extensive experience driving cross-functional pricing initiatives involving:
Commercial
Finance
Tendering
Market Units
Strong workshop facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to translate complex pricing concepts into simple, usable frameworks for global stakeholders.
Familiarity with pricing systems and Excel-based price modeling.
Experience supporting large-scale transformation or pricing optimization programs.
In-depth knowledge of pricing governance, including:
Approval committees
Escalation matrices
Compliance structures
