Workday Developer, Compensation (Hybrid Testing & Support) (M/F/D)

 

Tasks:

  • Backfill day-to-day responsibilities for the hiring manager during the project.

  • Execute assigned Workday Compensation testing activities according to project timelines and priorities.

  • Set up, maintain, and validate test data for compensation cycles (Merit, Bonus, and Stock).

  • Perform regression, functional, and UAT testing for configuration updates and releases.

  • Accurately document test results and provide detailed evidence for review and sign-off.

  • Identify and log defects; partner with developers or analysts to resolve issues.

  • Support BAU compensation tickets and troubleshoot configuration or data-related issues.

  • Collaborate with HR Technology, Compensation COE, and cross-functional teams to ensure testing coverage and readiness.

  • Communicate test progress, blockers, and outcomes clearly to the Testing Lead.

 

Qualification:

  • 5+ years of Workday experience with focus on Advanced and Core Compensation.

  • Experience testing Compensation processes (Merit, Bonus, or Stock) end-to-end.

  • Strong understanding of eligibility rules, calculated fields, and condition logic.

  • Experience creating and executing test scripts and documenting results.

  • Strong problem-solving, organization, and communication skills.

  • Proficiency with Excel, Smartsheet, or similar testing and tracking tools.

  • Nice to Have:

    • Experience supporting regression or release testing cycles.

    • Familiarity with EIBs, reporting validation, or Workday Security.

    • Prior experience supporting Compensation in a global organization.

    • Workday Advanced Compensation Certification (preferred).

Duration: 6 months

Capacity: 4 days per week

Location: Fully Remote (US-based)
