Supplier Quality Engineer (M/F/D)
Tasks:
Act as the primary quality contact for assigned suppliers and ensure effective collaboration on quality-related topics.
Monitor and ensure supplier compliance with applicable quality management systems, regulatory requirements, and internal quality standards.
Drive supplier quality improvement initiatives, including process optimization and continuous improvement activities.
Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Quality teams to ensure supplier quality requirements are effectively implemented and maintained.
Support engineering change activities, material review processes, and other supplier quality-related projects.
Monitor supplier performance through defined quality metrics and supplier scorecards.
Plan, support, and participate in supplier audits, qualification activities, and internal quality audits.
Investigate supplier-related quality issues, perform root cause analyses, and ensure effective implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Support the qualification and onboarding of new suppliers, including technical evaluations and documentation reviews.
Maintain supplier qualification records, approved supplier lists, and quality documentation.
Identify and mitigate supplier quality and supply chain risks.
Deliver training and guidance to suppliers on quality management systems and process improvements.
Contribute to cost optimization initiatives by driving sustainable supplier quality improvements.
Qualification:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a comparable technical discipline; an advanced degree is considered an advantage.
Several years of experience in Supplier Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality Assurance, or Quality Management within a regulated manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of supplier qualification, supplier audits, quality systems, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Experience with non-conformance management, root cause analysis, CAPA, and supplier performance management.
Good understanding of quality standards and regulatory requirements within manufacturing industries.
Experience working in cross-functional and international project teams.
Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with SAP or comparable ERP systems is an advantage.
Fluent English is required.
