Operational Excellence Consultant (M/W/D)
Tasks:
Translate an external productivity assessment into a concrete improvement roadmap with clear KPIs, owners and milestones.
Analyze laboratory and testing processes, identify bottlenecks and waste, and lead Lean / Six Sigma initiatives to improve throughput and standardize work.
Define and implement performance KPIs and simple dashboards; establish regular review and escalation routines with line managers and the department head.
Clarify and redesign roles, responsibilities and interfaces between planning and testing teams to ensure task ownership and accountability.
Ensure all changes remain compliant with GxP and relevant regulations (FDA, Swissmedic, ISO, MDR), in close collaboration with QA and other key stakeholders such as IT/OT and R&D.
Coach managers and teams in problem‑solving, performance management and new ways of working to secure sustainable change.
Qualifications:
10+ years in Operational Excellence / Continuous Improvement, ideally in laboratory, testing or manufacturing environments in pharma/med‑tech.
Strong Lean / Six Sigma background (Black Belt or equivalent a plus).
Solid experience in GxP and regulated environments.
Proven track record in setting up KPIs and management routines at department level.
Strong change and stakeholder management skills; able to influence without formal line authority.
Hands‑on, resilient, clear communicator, comfortable challenging the status quo.
