Data Business Analyst (M/W/D)
We are looking for a Reporting / Data Business Analyst to act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams in delivering reporting and analytics solutions.
This role supports the modernization of a BI architecture and focuses on translating business needs into clear functional requirements. Not a developer or data migration engineer role, but a business-oriented analytics position.
You will collaborate with business users and IT teams to define reporting needs and support testing and deployment.
Tasks:
- Act as the interface between business users and technical teams for reporting and analytics initiatives.
- Understand and document business reporting requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
- Work with stakeholders to prepare data examples, mock-ups, and reporting scenarios for development and validation.
- Support the testing phases (functional and user testing) and ensure business scenarios are properly validated.
- Answer functional or data-related questions from technical teams during development and testing.
- Assist business users during deployment, production validation, and post-go-live support.
- Help troubleshoot issues during stabilization phases and coordinate resolution with technical teams.
Qualification:
This role is ideal for someone with a strong business mindset combined with data and reporting knowledge, capable of translating operational needs into analytical solutions.
- Around 5+ years of experience as a Data Business Analyst / Reporting Analyst
- Strong understanding of business processes and stakeholder management
- Ability to act as a functional bridge between business users and technical teams
- SAP knowledge
- Ability to read SQL queries and understand data models (no coding required)
- Advanced Power BI skills (focus on analysis and reporting, not development)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
