Business Development Manager (M/F/D)
Tasks:
Build and develop the German market for an international contract testing and laboratory services organization.
Identify, approach and acquire new clients in Germany, with the potential to expand across Europe.
Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline.
Develop business relationships, particularly within the medical device and pharmaceutical sectors.
Develop a strong understanding of the site's technical and laboratory capabilities and translate these into concrete client and business opportunities.
Work closely with the technical teams and laboratory site in Germany.
Regularly liaise with the Head of Commercial and participate in sales coaching.
Independently identify new market and business opportunities.
Support the commercial launch of new laboratory and testing capabilities.
Build a network of relevant clients, partners and industry contacts.
Take ownership of the development of the German market and, over time, other European markets.
Qualification:
Experience in Business Development / New Business Sales.
Fluent or highly proficient German and English.
Based in Germany and willing to work closely with the southern Germany site.
Demonstrable ability to win new clients and build a sales pipeline.
Independent, proactive and entrepreneurial approach.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Ability to work effectively with both technical and commercial stakeholders.
Technical curiosity and willingness to learn about laboratories and testing methods.
Experience in Medical Devices and/or Pharma is highly desirable.
Experience in contract testing, laboratory services or a scientific/technical environment is desirable.
An existing network within the medical device or pharmaceutical sectors is advantageous.
Additional European languages, particularly French, are a plus.
Drive and ambition are more important than having a perfect experience history. A less experienced candidate with strong potential is also of interest.
