Freelance Accountant / Finance Support

Our client, a Swiss based manufacturer of medical devices, is looking for an accountant to take over local finance operations following the departure of the current post holder, who has handled these tasks alongside broader administrative duties.

This is a hands on, on-site role covering the operational side of accounting, not a strategic or advisory position. The company runs its own ERP system, built on Odoo.

Responsibilities

• Invoicing and payment processing

• Dunning and collections from clients

• Tax filings and declarations (scope to be confirmed, including whether VAT/MWST is handled independently or in coordination with an external Treuhänder)

• General day to day accounting and bookkeeping tasks

• Support during handover from the outgoing post holder

Requirements

• Solid, hands on accounting experience, ideally in a similar operational finance or bookkeeping role

• Experience with Odoo strongly preferred, alternatively strong general ERP and accounting skills with the ability to learn Odoo quickly

• Fluent in German and English

• Comfortable working independently and on-site in the Lucerne area

• Available for a minimum of 3 days per week
