IT Project Manager - Datacenter Migration (M/W/D)
Tasks:
Take full ownership of the data migration project delivery within the agreed scope, timeline, and budget
Independently define and drive the project plan, milestones, and deliverables
Align with key stakeholders (IT, business, data teams) and ensure clear expectations and priorities
Coordinate and steer cross-functional teams without direct authority
Identify risks, issues, and dependencies early and proactively implement mitigation strategies
Ensure execution of data migration activities including data mapping, cleansing, transformation, and validation
Oversee and challenge technical approaches where necessary (e.g., ETL processes, migration strategy)
Drive testing phases (SIT/UAT), including data validation and reconciliation
Ensure compliance with data governance and regulatory requirements
Provide transparent and regular status reporting to stakeholders and management
Take a hands-on, delivery-focused approach to ensure project success (not purely coordination)
Qualification:
Proven experience as a Project Manager in IT infrastructure, datacenter, network, or migration projects.
Strong technical understanding of:
– Windows / Linux server environments
– Active Directory / Identity Services
– Networking concepts including WAN connectivity, LAN/WAN architecture, routing, switching, firewalls, and VPNs
Experience in migration planning, cutover coordination, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams, including server, network, security, application, workplace, vendor, and country IT teams.
Solid understanding of network dependencies in infrastructure migrations, including connectivity, firewall rules, DNS, routing, latency, bandwidth, and site readiness.
Strong communication, organizational, and escalation management skills.
Structured, pragmatic, and delivery-oriented working style.
