Patient Engagement Expert (M/F/D)
Tasks:
The project consists of services which are related to
Statistical methodology and analytical service for about 10 patient preference studies per year in order to provide expert contributions to the design and analysis of patient preference studies
Develop applications to collect and analysis patient preference data (about 1 application per year)
Develop and provide training on statistical methodology for patient preference studies (about 2 training modules per year)
The responsibilities per study include
Advice on the selection of the patient preference method (e.g. discrete choice experiment, best-worst-scaling, threshold technique) and justification why this is a recommended method.
Represent statistical methodology in scientific advice meetings with regulators or HTA bodies (e.g. FDA, EMA); active participation and discussion of proposed preference methods and analysis strategy.
Assessment of the study results based on the data and outputs provided by the vendor.
Deliverables for the development of inhouse applications (collect and analysis patient preference data):
Develop the specification with input from PE Science members
Develop, test and roll-out the application
Development of training
Develop and provide training on statistical methodology for patient preference studies
All activities need to follow existing Novartis project plans with its milestones and deliverables so we will need to align on very struct deadlines for the deliverables.
Prerequisites for the supplier are:
Patient Preference Researcher skills with a corresponding degree in statistics or health economics and a proven track record of preference studies and experience of patient preference studies.
Track record of interactions with regulators (FDA or EMA) as statistical methods expert
Fluent English
The supplier can work remotely, in European or US (East) time zone and support the PE Science team which is in Basel and East Hanover. Expected to travel to Basel or East Hanover for important face-to-face project meetings with prior alignement.
