Microsoft Purview Administrator / Data Security Specialist (M/F/D)
Tasks:
Configure and administer Microsoft Purview to support secure Microsoft 365 environments and data protection initiatives.
Implement and validate Microsoft Purview controls for information protection, compliance, and secure collaboration.
Configure and maintain sensitivity labels, auto-labeling, label policies, and data protection settings across Microsoft 365 workloads.
Design, configure, and optimize Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies for Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Microsoft Teams, and endpoint environments.
Analyze security posture using Microsoft Purview tools such as Data Security Posture Management, Activity Explorer, Content Explorer, and Audit Logs.
Support the identification and remediation of data exposure risks, excessive permissions, sensitive content, and inappropriate sharing configurations.
Configure and validate audit, retention, data lifecycle management, and eDiscovery capabilities.
Support Insider Risk Management and communication compliance activities, including policy validation and operational processes.
Collaborate with security, compliance, legal, IT operations, and business stakeholders to implement governance and security requirements.
Produce technical documentation, implementation guides, configuration records, operational runbooks, and handover documentation.
Identify technical risks, dependencies, licensing considerations, and configuration conflicts while proposing suitable mitigation measures.
Qualification:
Several years of hands-on experience administering Microsoft Purview within enterprise Microsoft 365 environments.
Strong expertise in Microsoft Purview, including Sensitivity Labels, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Retention Policies, Audit, eDiscovery, Information Protection, and Data Lifecycle Management.
Solid understanding of Microsoft 365 security and compliance concepts, including data protection, governance, and information security.
Experience with Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Microsoft Teams, Entra ID, endpoint protection, and Microsoft 365 compliance services.
Knowledge of Microsoft 365 Copilot security concepts, including data exposure risks, oversharing prevention, permissions management, and secure information access, is highly desirable.
Ability to translate security and compliance requirements into practical technical solutions and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience working in international and regulated enterprise environments is advantageous.
Independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style with excellent documentation and communication skills.
Fluent English is mandatory; experience working in an international or Japanese business environment is considered an advantage.
