Infrastructure & Utilities Engineer (M/F/D)
The Infrastructure and Utilities Engineer is responsible for ensuring the reliable operation, availability, and lifecycle management of small equipment within the facility, while maintaining compliance with GMP standards and supporting BioAtrium’s manufacturing and business objectives.
Tasks:
Ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of small equipment in accordance with defined quality and operational criteria.
Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation.
Monitor equipment performance metrics and implement improvements to optimize efficiency and lifecycle management.
Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for small equipment within CAPEX projects.
Provide technical input during design, selection, procurement, installation, commissioning, and qualification phases.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Validation, and Operations teams to ensure proper integration and compliance.
Evaluate test results, identify deviations, and troubleshoot equipment-related issues.
Perform root cause analysis and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
Provide recommendations for process improvements, system upgrades, and optimization initiatives.
Ensure full compliance with GMP, regulatory requirements, and internal quality standards.
Perform GMP activities strictly according to applicable procedures and documentation requirements.
Support cGMP manufacturing operations in alignment with Engineering responsibilities.
Author, review, and maintain GMP-relevant documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, and technical reports.
Prepare and review quality records such as deviations, change controls, CAPAs, and investigations.
Audit & Inspection Support
Represent the department or unit during internal and external audits, inspections, and customer visits.
Ensure readiness of documentation and systems for audit purposes and address findings appropriately.
Support the strategic objectives of BioAtrium Operations and contribute to overall business performance.
Identify emerging operational issues and ensure timely and effective communication within the Operations and Engineering departments.
Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to ensure alignment of engineering activities with production and quality goals.
Act in full accordance with company policies regarding safety, hygiene, environmental protection, and quality standards.
Proactively identify risks and support initiatives aimed at improving workplace safety and environmental performance.
Qualification:
At least 5 years of experience in relevant field
German and English required
