Senior Network Engineer (M/W/D)
Tasks:
End‑of‑Life Hardware Replacement
Replace and deploy Fortinet FortiGate firewalls
Replace and configure Juniper EX/QFX switches
Replace and configure Cisco switches (Catalyst / Meraki)
Replace and provision Juniper Mist access points
Replace and provision Cisco access points (Catalyst / Meraki)
Migrate existing configurations to new hardware
Conduct functional testing, failover testing, and final acceptance
WAN & VPN Migration
Transform existing Site‑to‑Site VPN connections into an SD‑WAN architecture
Adjust routing, security policies, and segmentation
Configure and optimize SD‑WAN overlays (e.g., Fortinet SD‑WAN)
Ensure redundancy, performance, and operational stability
Datacentre Migration (VPN Tunnels)
Plan and execute the migration of VPN tunnels (Fortinet → Cisco Firepower)
Migrate tunnels from legacy datacentre to new datacentre
Create and adjust IPSec policies, crypto profiles, NAT rules
Plan and execute cutovers, including rollback strategies
Troubleshoot issues during and after migration
Collaboration & Communication
Projectcoordinate with external service providers, carriers, internal network/security teams, and datacentre teams
Produce documentation (Change Requests, MOPs, As‑Built documentation)
Participate in project meetings and technical workshops
Qualification:
Technical Skills
Strong expertise in Fortinet FortiGate
Experience with Juniper EX/QFX switching
Experience with Cisco Catalyst / Meraki switching
Experience with Juniper Mist access points
Experience with Cisco access points (Catalyst / Meraki)
Knowledge of Cisco Firepower / FMC
Strong understanding of IPSec VPN, routing (OSPF/BGP), NAT, HA concepts
Experience with datacentre migrations and cutover execution
Familiarity with ITIL-based change management

Ability to explain complex technical topics clearly
