Technical Writer
Tasks:
Develop user-facing documentation, including operating manuals, service guides, and software instructions
Produce assembly instructions and test procedures for manufacturing
Create and maintain structured content for specific audiences using an XML-based CMS (Schema ST4) and Adobe FrameMaker
Ensure all documentation meets regulatory standards
Integrate findings from risk analyses into documentation
Conduct product photography and perform image editing
Generate technical illustrations from 2D and 3D data
Write and edit content in both German and English
Coordinate translation workflows and manage terminology
Qualification:
Degree in a technical field with additional training in Technical Writing, a degree in Technical Communication, or several years of relevant experience
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience
Strong command of DTP, illustration, and image-editing tools (FrameMaker, Photoshop, Illustrator)
Hands-on experience with Schema ST4
Proficiency with 3D illustration tools (e.g., Creo Illustrate, 3DVia Composer, or comparable software)
Excellent German (native-level) and English (C1) skills, both written and spoken
Strong collaboration skills and the ability to gather information from various stakeholders
Ability to distill complex information and create audience‑specific, compliant documentation
Requirements:
Start: 3 months notice is possible
Duration: Permanent or 6 months contract initially
