Manager Medical Research Operations (M/F/*)
The Manager, MRO provides operational expertise in and oversight of the execution of post-drug approval research. The role is part of the Worldwide Medical Operations & Effectiveness function within Worldwide Medical Affairs. The work is collaborative and is performed in conjunction with medical teams in both the global headquarters and at local affiliates.
The successful candidate will act as an operational partner in driving data generation program execution. Working across late-stage development and marketed products, the incumbent will manage the operations for Phase 4 studies, patient registries, outcomes research, and real-world evidence programs. Activities include study planning, start-up, vendor management, site management, tracking and reporting.
  • Support all project management activities for data generation projects as assigned 
  • Operationalize data generation projects in close collaboration with the Program Lead: Review committee coordination, contracting, study management team formation, publication support, filing, milestones and budget
  • Provide regular updates to internal clinical trial management system for departmental projects, and compile reports from the system
  • Support the Associate Director Medical Research Operations Study Management with tracking and update of the medical dashboard
  • Act as a key point of contact between Medical Research Operations group and the external research stakeholders and partners
  • Minimum of 7+ years of clinical research experience with minimum of 5+ years of CRO/Sponsor Project Management
  • Strong Project Management skills including risk assessment and contingency planning
  • Demonstrated learning agility
  • Possess a combination of critical thinking and operational know-how and efficiency
  • Demonstrated success in working independently
  • High level of customer orientation, awareness and focus
  • Strong team leadership skills
  • Preference for experience with late phase, post-market, and observational clinical research
  • Neuroscience or rare disease experience preferred
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
